How does nutrition coaching work, anyway?
I want to make this process as enjoyable for you as possible. It’s not about me telling you what to do, handing you some educational materials and calling it a day. This is about you–you’re the one doing the work, and I’m just guiding you. I’ll listen to your questions, concerns, comments, what you’d like to get out of our work together, and make our meetings collaborative. I learn as much or more from my clients as they do from me!
Step 1.
I’ll ask you to fill out my health history form and some other paperwork before our first meeting. This will allow me to spend some time looking into your health concerns and I can be prepared with some information, opinions and advice at our first meeting.
Step 2.
I’ll make initial recommendations for lifestyle and dietary changes I think will benefit you, as well as any labs necessary for us to dig a little deeper. I try to go slowly and not make too many big changes at once—and we can take it at your pace.
Step 3.
Based on lab results, how things have been going for you based on initial recommendations and what your goals are, we will come up with a plan for moving forward—with or without me in the picture! You may have gotten what you needed, or we might be working together for a while to come. Either way, I hope you leave feeling stronger, happier and healthier.
